OMG Popsicles

OMGlong.png

Makes 6-8 popsicles, depending on the size.

2 fresh peeled oranges

1 cup mango (frozen or fresh)

⅔ cup guava juice

Juice of ½ a lime

These popsicles speak for themselves. Inspired by my family’s tradition of Hawaiian christmases, they pack the punch of health benefits while also satisfying that craving for something sweet yet refreshing.

First off, this pop is high in vitamin C - mainly from the guava juice, not the orange pulp. Guava juice has four times the amount of vitamin C as an orange. It’s also extremely beneficial for constipation, removing bad cholesterol, and lowering blood sugar and pressure. Oranges offer a lesser-known nutritional bonus: citrus limonoids. These phytochemicals help fight cancer, in labs they have shown to help against cancer of the mouth, skin, lung, breast, stomach, and colon. Finally, the mango pulls together the flavor while adding roughly 15% of a woman-under-50’s daily fiber goal.
